4 trips, 4 moods: my clients tell you about their tailor-made getaways

At LastMinute.Life, no two trips are alike. Some set off on a backpack road trip, others prefer to settle into a hotel right by the water. Some want to discover, others want to slow down.

My role? To adapt to each project, each personality, each wish. Here are four pieces of client feedback that illustrate the wonderful variety of trips we have organised together.

1. Noémie & Vincent — A campervan road trip along Portugal's west coast

Length: 8 days. Style: freedom and nature.

They dreamed of a simple, flexible trip, with a little adventure and plenty of ocean. I found them a fully equipped van, wild spots to sleep, and stops combining surfing, small fishing villages and seafood tastings.

It was a magical interlude. The van was great, the itinerary well thought out. We had just enough landmarks to feel supported, but free.

2. Élise — Lazing about and wellbeing in Menorca

Length: 5 days. Style: solo, total relaxation.

Élise needed just one thing: rest. We chose Menorca for its quiet coves, peaceful accommodation and gentle atmosphere. On the programme: sunrise yoga, massages, almost deserted beaches.

It was exactly the stay I needed. You understood my need for calm without me really putting it into words.

3. Chloé, Quentin and their children — Discovering nature in Slovenia

Length: 10 days. Style: family, nature, gentle activities.

They wanted a family trip that would please young and old alike: lakes, mountains, nature and a bit of adventure without too much logistics. The result: paddleboarding on Lake Bled, a bike ride in the Soča valley, a night in a chalet.

Thank you for the perfect mix! We never had to think about what came next, everything flowed. And the children loved it.

4. Cécile & Léa — A tropical escape to Zanzibar

Length: 7 days. Style: sunshine, turquoise sea, switching off.

Cécile and Léa called me in the middle of winter: "We want warmth, turquoise water and a relaxed pace." I put together a week in Zanzibar for them, combining the beach, boat trips, snorkelling and discovering the spices.

It felt as if we had been away for a month. Thank you for being so responsive and for the little extras we would never have thought of booking.

What these four trips have in common

A road trip, a week of solo rest, a family holiday and a getaway in the sun: at first glance, nothing links these four trips. Yet they were all built in the same way.

A starting point that is not the destination

None of these travellers came to me with a fixed destination. They came with a wish: freedom, calm, a trip everyone would enjoy, warmth in the middle of winter. It was from that wish, their dates and their budget that the destination became obvious.

A pace suited to each traveller

A road trip can handle short, frequent stages. A restful stay, on the contrary, calls for a single base and as little moving around as possible. With children, it is something else again. The same itinerary never suits everyone, and that is where tailor-made travel comes into its own.

Landmarks, but freedom too

In every travel book, I suggest themed days rather than an hour-by-hour programme. Travellers know where to go and how, but they remain free to change their minds. It is this balance that comes up most often in the feedback I receive.

And you, how do you like to travel?

  • On a road trip, with just enough landmarks?
  • Close to nature, at a slow pace?
  • In a picture-postcard setting?
  • With the family, without the headaches? My family holidays page explains how I work.
  • As a couple, for a honeymoon or a weekend?
  • Solo, to recharge?

Every trip begins with a wish. I am here to turn it into a tailor-made experience, without the stress.

Frequently asked questions

The questions I am often asked.

Do you organise solo trips?

Yes. A solo trip is built like any other, starting from what you would like, your dates and your budget, with particular attention to the choice of accommodation and transfers.

Can I contact you without knowing where to go?

That is actually the most common situation. A wish, a time of year and a budget are enough to get started.

Do you organise road trips?

Yes, by car or by van, with stages worked out on real travel times and a travel book that guides you from one stop to the next.

Two ways to begin

A clear project, or just a wish?

Both can be worked on. The only difference is the starting point.
